Hello! Unfortunately, it appears that you have some extra skin after liposuction. When combining liposuction w/ skin tightening (i.e. j-plasma etc.) you can expect up to a 60% improvement but it is not perfect. Surgically, the gold standard is to perform a tummy tuck to remove the extra skin and give you a tighter look. Nonsurgically, you can look into Morpheus 8 (RF microneedling) treatments to help tighten the area around the belly button for a better result. Good luck!
Dear Nurturing700365,I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hello and thank you for your question and pictures. It looks like between lipo and the weight loss you have lost most of the fat. However, due to the amount of stretch marks the skin cannot shrink and so you would most benefit from a tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty. Be sure to see a Board Certified PS for your consultation.
Your contour irregularities from liposuction can be improved with a tummy tuck. Many of the stretch marks will be addressed as well. The next step is to schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.
an examination is needed to see if it is extra unmissed fat or excess skin. If fat remains, selected liposuction can be done. Otherwise, radiofrequency skin tightening may help or a tummy tuck.
Appears in the posted photos post pregnancy skin and adding post lipo skin effect you need skin only full TT with muscle plication. Fee from $6,000+. Best to virtual consult with...
There are two variables that determine Liposuction results. Those two variables are the patient’s candidacy and the skill and experience of the provider. You have significant abdominal skin laxity most likely from previous pregnancies, and this made you a less than ideal candidate for Liposuction. This means that the potential outcome was limited from the beginning and Liposuction. It was probably not the best choice if you wanted an aesthetically attractive looking abdomen. A tummy tuck would’ve been a much better procedure and still is the best option to get a tight flat abdomen. The number of plastic surgeons who do consistent quality liposuction is in a minority. The procedure is more difficult to do than most people believe it. Quality providers who can deliver consistent quality results, not only know how to do the procedure well but are also adept at making quality assessments and conveying what actual results will look like by showing a plethora of appropriate before, and after pictures of previous patients with similar body characteristics to your own. I think you were a less than ideal candidate for Liposuction and your procedure. Could’ve probably been done a little bit better.I suggest patience focus their efforts and understanding their own candidacy for each procedure and focus on finding the best provider. Do that by having multiple in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons in your community. There are four variables to determine what the abdomen looks like. These are abdominal skin, laxity, subcutaneous, fat, muscle separation from previous pregnancies and excess visceral fat. a lot of individuals will have more than one variable, keeping them from looking their best. Understanding which of these variables is the primary cause for why their abdomen looks the way it does should help determine what procedure someone chooses. A full tummy tuck, primarily treats, skin laxity, and muscle separation. Women who have significant pregnancy related changes. Should I opt for a procedure that addresses those changes. Previous pregnancies do not change fat distribution.During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before and after pictures of previous patient who had similar body characteristics to your own for whatever procedure you are contemplating. You should also listen to what plastic surgeons recommend when it comes to Their assessment and recommendations of procedures. And experience plastic surgeon should have no difficulty showing you the before, and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. Being shown a handful of preselected images, representing the best results of the providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of an average results look like in the hands of each provider or how many procedures anyone surgeon has actually performed.Best,Mats Hagstrom, MD
I would recommend some liposuction with the use of j-plasma technology that could help you but to achieve the best result it is necessary to perform a tummy tuck.If you are considering surgery, I suggest you see a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a full examination will you get more information and recommendations.Sealtiel Machuca
It is amazing the surprises that we as plastic surgeon can get whenever we are performing a Liposuction, in some cases we can expect to have small amounts in certain patients and we have a lot. The amount of fat can not be precisely be predicted before a procedure.
You may be a candidate for Botox to the masseter muscles if hypertrophy of the masseters is to blame. If it is fat that is causing the contour that concerns you, FaceTite may be an option. This minimally invasive procedure uses RF technology to tighten skin and melt fat. Visit my website or a...
