There are two variables that determine Liposuction results. Those two variables are the patient’s candidacy and the skill and experience of the provider. You have significant abdominal skin laxity most likely from previous pregnancies, and this made you a less than ideal candidate for Liposuction. This means that the potential outcome was limited from the beginning and Liposuction. It was probably not the best choice if you wanted an aesthetically attractive looking abdomen. A tummy tuck would’ve been a much better procedure and still is the best option to get a tight flat abdomen. The number of plastic surgeons who do consistent quality liposuction is in a minority. The procedure is more difficult to do than most people believe it. Quality providers who can deliver consistent quality results, not only know how to do the procedure well but are also adept at making quality assessments and conveying what actual results will look like by showing a plethora of appropriate before, and after pictures of previous patients with similar body characteristics to your own. I think you were a less than ideal candidate for Liposuction and your procedure. Could’ve probably been done a little bit better. I suggest patience focus their efforts and understanding their own candidacy for each procedure and focus on finding the best provider. Do that by having multiple in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons in your community. There are four variables to determine what the abdomen looks like. These are abdominal skin, laxity, subcutaneous, fat, muscle separation from previous pregnancies and excess visceral fat. a lot of individuals will have more than one variable, keeping them from looking their best. Understanding which of these variables is the primary cause for why their abdomen looks the way it does should help determine what procedure someone chooses. A full tummy tuck, primarily treats, skin laxity, and muscle separation. Women who have significant pregnancy related changes. Should I opt for a procedure that addresses those changes. Previous pregnancies do not change fat distribution. During each consultation, ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before and after pictures of previous patient who had similar body characteristics to your own for whatever procedure you are contemplating. You should also listen to what plastic surgeons recommend when it comes to Their assessment and recommendations of procedures. And experience plastic surgeon should have no difficulty showing you the before, and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. Being shown a handful of preselected images, representing the best results of the providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of an average results look like in the hands of each provider or how many procedures anyone surgeon has actually performed.
