We never use expired products on our patients. Expiration dates are put in place to indicate when a product may start to lose its efficacy. The expiration date doesn't always means it's bad, it just won't be as effective.
Thank you for your question, I would not recommend injecting expired Juvederm, the expiration date with these Hyaluronc acid gels is there for a reason , and can increase the risk for adverse side effects and the longevity of the product can also be compromised .with your best look in mind,Dr. Elyse Rafal
Thank you for your question. I would not recommend; even though the chances of any problems( toxicity or longevity of the product) are trivial. Multiple scientific papers on HA fillers (hyaluronic acid gel ) have been resulting in NO bacterial and/or fungal growth for up to 2 years when stored at room temperature.
There is no way to guarantee that you will get the same smooth, natural-looking results when using an expired product. Further, injectables really do need to be administered by a trained and experienced professional to ensure not only great results but also your safety. I would suggest finding a cosmetic surgeon or reputable medical spa in your area and having a professional perform your injections. When it comes to your safety and satisfaction with your results, you really don’t want to skimp on costs.
Thank you for your question. Getting injected with an expired product is inappropriate. Fillers such as Juvederm have expiry dates to display their potency and consistency. I would not recommend using expired products to avoid problems. Even though it might not cause any problems, the effects may not be as good as one that is not expired. Best wishes.
It is not advisable to use expired medication or in this case filler. Also injections are only to be done by an experienced medical professional.
No, you should not inject expired Juvederm. You must be a physician in order to purchase the product, so I'm not sure how you obtained the Juvederm. In any case, it is not safe to use it.
Thanks for your question. An expiration date is required for all products to make sure shelf life doesn't affect the product. While it might not cause any problems, the effects may not be as reliable as one that is not expired.
It is not advisable to get injected with expired product. With all medications, the FDA requires an expiration date. While in almost all cases, there will be no ill effects, the sterility and potency can be in question. A rare medication, such as tetracycline, can have negative side effects if taken when expired.
Thank you for your question. Like all registered medications, dermal fillers such as Juvederm should only be administered prior to the product expiry date and only by an appropriately qualified practitioner.I recommend that you consult with an experienced and highly trained practitioner to ensure your safety.Best wishes
Thank you for your question. The minimum time to wait for a second filler is when the swelling and bruises are probably resolved, which takes about 2 weeks. Juvederm can last up to 6 months, however, it more likely to break down due to continuous movement of the facial areas injected....
You will want to wait for any swelling or bruising that may be present to resolve before using your Dermawand. Enjoy your filler results!
Thanks for your question. Keep in mind that swelling is a common side effect immediately following lip injections, so it is possible that what you’re seeing is that swelling beginning to diminish. If, after a few days, you’re still unhappy with your results, I would suggest consulting your inj...
