Should I be worried ??? My doc said the numbness happened and go away with time but that was before it got a lil but swollen n slightly bruised ..... I called him waiting for a call back ... I live 5 hours away from him so I'm having anxiety about my arm

Answer: Numbness after surgery in the extremities is unusual but usually resolve spontaneously.
I think the umbilical float technique is a most undesirable technique designed to put speed and getting it over with far beyond a beautiful precision surgery. So now you need to start back at square one and have it done correctly, hopefully by an ABPS surgeon that does many many tummy...
Every surgeon has his/her preferences, and most options work great. There is no set right way to do this. My own preference is to NOT use tape at all. I clean the incisions with hydrogen peroxide once a day and apply Bacitracin ointment and redress with ABD dressings applied without wrinkles....
Congratulations on having undergone the tummy tuck procedure. The use of an abdominal wall binder over a “spanks” garment should not be a problem.
In regards to abdominal wall “swelling”, it is best to be seen in person ( by your plastic surgeon) for precise diagnosis and treatment.
