Hi, Thank you for your post. Fillers can definitely help with your profile but it will not help with the downward slope of the tip. You are a great candidate for a rhinoplasty. This will allow the surgeon to refine the tip and straighten the bridge of the nose. I would schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss what changes you would like to see and what the best options would be for you.
Based on your photos, I think you are a great candidate for surgical rhinoplasty. I recommend you schedule a consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals in further detail. Best of luck.
Hello and thank you for your question. You are a much better candidate for a surgical rhinoplasty. Based on yourphotograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Your surgeon canaccomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in yourlower nose. You may also benefit from a cephalic rotation of your tip to turnup your tip slightly and a conservative dorsal hump reduction. Make sure you specifically look at before and afterpictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeonand not just a computer animation system. The most importantaspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seekconsultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluateyou in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Reish, M.D.Harvard-trained plastic surgeon
Hello,You would be a good candidate for a closed scarless rhinoplasty. I would recommend shaving down your dorsal hump and refining your nasal tip. By doing this via a scarless (closed) approach, there are no external cuts ever on your nose. This prevents the dreaded complication of external scarring at the base of the nose, which even if rare, if it occurs, is devastating. Through a scarless approach you can accomplish almost everything needed to be done to the nose with no scarring, less healing time, less bruising, and less swelling. Find a board certified facial plastic surgeon who specializes in closed rhinoplasty procedures for 100% of her/his surgery. All the best, Deepak Dugar, MDScarless Rhinoplasty ExpertBeverly Hills, CA 90210
Thank you for your post. Based on your profile, it would appear that you are a candidate for rhinoplasty. However, you can achieve a more desirable profile temporarily through the correct placement of fillers. It's best to have a thorough in person consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area to discuss all of your treatment options. Although the photos are limited, it appears that you may be a candidate for rhinoplasty. Surgical fillers may provide an option to 1. reduce a dorsal hump, 2. Raise the tip, 3. Fill in contour irregularities, and 4. Build up a bridge. I recommend you consult with a Board-Certified plastic surgeon who will accurately examine your nose in-office, create a 3D simulation, and develop a plan tailored to your wishes.
In our practice, we do not recommend nonsurgical rhinoplasty fillers placed in the nose because it is not FDA approved for that application, is temporary, makes the nose bigger, and can have significant complications such as skin process. A surgical rhinoplasty procedure can accomplish changing the shape of the nose on a permanent basis. The dorsal hump can be reduced, overall projection reduced and the bridge line narrowed. The hanging columella can also be reduced. Digital computer imaging would be helpful to understand what can be accomplished with your nose on your facial features. Rhinoplasty is a very difficult endeavor, so choose your surgeon wisely based on extensive experience.
Fillers will not fix the droopiness, surgery can do that. Fillers can give you a straighter profile on the bridge and hide some of the droopiness, but you will be happier with surgery. Best wishes
Hi and thanks for you question and photo. It is difficult to say specifically without seeing several other views of your face, like front view and base view. However what we can see is that you have some good features and some that need a little help. The angle that your nose and upper lip create is in balance, creating a pleasing rotation to your nose. So you don't need nasal rotation. You do however have a dorsal hump that gives you the appearance you describe. So you need that fixed. The devil is in the details with a rhinoplasty and once you fix this you may very well need tip refinement and more importantly tip strut grafts or other methods to stabilize the base of your nose. You would probably need a nasal fracture to also keep the nose in balance. The inside of your nose would also need to be examined to make sure that surgery would be reasonable and predictable and preserve normal breathing. Your best bet is to schedule a consultation with a plastic surgeon you trust and have had personal recommendations and is board certified. Rhinoplasty is not painful surgery and would be the way to go. Good luck!
In today's world of instant results with minimal downtime achieved with select fillers optimally employed, your question echoes the concern on the minds of many patients contemplating rhinoplasty.Nasal recontouring is intended to balance the shape and size of the nose to enhance the overall facial appearance. When the nose lacks volume in the dorsum, such as form a saddle deformity, a filler would be helpful. When the nose has sufficient or excess prominence such as a so-called long witches nose, a filler adding volume would be a detractor. Although a filler may help eliminate the appearance of a nasal bump, only a rhinoplasty would serve to balance your overall profile and reduce a prominent nose. You would benefit from an individualized consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon whose aesthetic perspective based onhis/her before and after photos, personality, educational background, talent, training and experience (with your special needs and wants) makes you comfortable, and you believe can help you achieve youraesthetic goals I wish you well inyour achieving your desired nasal refinement! It could be many different things including swelling. If it remains after a bout 6-12 months then it might be bone or a graft that was placed( and shifted).. Hard to no without more details. If it is bone, often shaving it may be enough.
Thank you for the question! Based on your description, it appears that you require two separate procedures. First, your bump on the nose can be corrected with reconstructive rhinoplasty, which is often used to fix a sport injury. After your recovery is complete, you may address your red veins...
What you are noticing has to do with the curvature of the underlying cartilage that supports your ala. It appears from these photos as if your cartilage has a concave curvature. You would need a proper nasal exam to confirm this. This curvature is correctable with surgery. See an expert...
