Red veins and small bump on nose (fair skin) - removal? (Photos)

Question

Hi, I just thought i'd ask if there's a way to get rid of this redness on-top of my nose, i don't really know what it is, i smacked my nose playing football a few years ago and since then I've had a red mark on-top of a small bump, also the bump, would it be possible to remove since i didn't really have it until i was about 17, it just doesn't feel right with it on my nose! Thanks!

Thank you for the question! Based on your description, it appears that you require two separate procedures. First, your bump on the nose can be corrected with reconstructive rhinoplasty, which is often used to fix a sport injury. After your recovery is complete, you may address your red veins with either sclerotherapy or laser treatment. 
An in-person exam with a board-certified plastic surgeon is the best way to assess your needs and obtain expert medical advice. Best of luck!

Rhinoplasty can remove the bump for you, which is probably a combination of excess new bone callus which formed to repair your fracture and soft tissue thickening and scar under the skin.  The redness is due to little blood vessels which can become visible after injury. If you want the bump removed I would recommend this is performed first as it could make the redness worse.  Then about a year later when you have fully healed you could have laser treatment to the blood vessels.

Thanks for your question. For your redness and vein issues non ablative laser therapy will work nicely. This is preformed in the office with no anesthesia or down time. Surgery shouldn't be needed.

Hello, Bump on your nose after old injury is due to bony overgrowth. If that is all you need to change in your nose, it can be done under local anaesthesia , by a simple surgery. Redness is due to visible capillaries . Laser will be reqired -IPL or PDL type of laser will help.
