I'm a female in my early twenties. I weigh 118 and I'm 5'2. I would like to get the fat transfer procedure to my breasts and buttocks at the same time. I would also like to get a breast lift and cellulite removing procedure done at the same time. I would like to know how much weight I need to gain, the prices, recovery time, and about scarring. Are the any doctors in Houston that specialize in this?
Answer: Breast fat transfer hello hollyrose18 Fat is removed from your abdomen, hips, “love handles” or other areas using a fine cannula similar to the one used for liposuction but skinnier. You should visit or contact a board certified PS. #cost #recovey

Answer: Weight gain before fat transfer to breast and buttocks Good results can be obtained in thinner patients. This is largely dependent upon the skill of the surgeon, his/her ability to remove fat without creating contour deformities, and your expectations. You would need a consultation to determine the available fat stores.I rarely if ever recommend weight gain prior to a BBL. Gaining weight is often counterproductive. If you gain weight that is fat, some of the fat will likely be associated with the buttocks. I think it is better to maintain a stable weight you can sustain after the BBL. Find a plastic surgeon with ELITE credentials (education, training, experience, certification) who performs hundreds of lipos, BBLs, and fat grafting each year with favorable patient reviews. Then look at the plastic surgeon's website before and after photo galleries to get a sense of who can deliver the results you are seeking.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

Answer: Breast Fat Transfer and buttocks fat transfer Plastic surgery is best done at your stable weight. If you gain weight for fat transfer, most of the transferred fat will be lost after you lose weight. Transferred fat behaves like you own fat. It gets bigger with weight gain and it shrinks with weight loss. Also the amount of fat needed depends on your body shape, buttocks volume and current breast volume. You should seek a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.

Answer: Fat transfer Do not try to gain weight just for a fat transfer. Once the transfer is done, then you might loose that extra weight and not have much to show. If you do not have enough donor fat for a transfer, you might want to consider implants. Some may need to do the lift at a separate time to allow the fat transfer to stabilize. I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area and discuss all your concerns.

Answer: Fat transfer Dear Hollyrose18,an examination would be required to make sure that you are a good candidate for fat transfer. Based on your description, it sounds like you will need a lot of fat to transfer it to breasts and buttocks. Scarring should be minimal and you should need a few weeks of recovery time. Regarding the price it is hard to tell because it depends on a lot of factors. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
