Thank you for your question. Vanquish works by destroying the fat cells, therefore volume reduction. The only reason I can think of that you would notice more sagging skin would be if you got a lot of volume reduction at once and the skin didn't have time to properly respond (shrink). Since you are only on your third treatment I cant imagine the two treatments thus far causing that much laxity. I would follow up with your provider and take a look at some pre/post photos. Hope this helps.
Vanquish is good for permanently removing stubborn areas of fat and providing mild skin tightening, but needs a combination approach to get the most improvement. I recommend combining Vanquish with Venus Legacy/Exilis Ultra treatments. We currently use a fire and ice treatment with Coolsculpting and Vanquish for good results in fat removal. However, a VASER hi definition procedure would give you the best results for shaping the buttocks. See an expert for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer
Hello there, We would typically not treat the buttock area since some volume is typically desired in this area. That being said, anytime there is significant fat reduction without skin removal or tightening, it is possible to get wrinkling and increased laxity. At times this will dissipate as the skin tightens back up, but is very dependent on the patients' age, skin quality, sun damage, genetics...etc. I would definitely discuss this concern with your provider since there are other options (Exilis Ultra and Emtone) that will help to tighten the skin for you. Vanquish ME (the newest Vanquish treatment) kills fat cells in a non surgical fashion. As the fat goes away the skin generally retracts with it. Most people over time also get a small amount of skin tightening from the heat on the skin. For more skin tightening we often combine Vanquish ME treatments with Exilis Ultra 360 treatments to both reduce fat and tighten skin. The Exilis treatments can either be alternated with the Vanquish or done after the Vanquish treatment is completed. Remember that the skin tightening takes longer to see the final results than the fat reduction.
One of the best features of Vanquish ME is that it also gives moderate skin tightening along with fat reduction when compared to some other technologies. Sounds like the fat loss has preceded the skin tightening. If it doesn't improve, you may consider a procedure such as Exilis Ultra, Skintyte or even Ultherapy, Thermage or ThermiRF to tighten the skin up and give more contouring. Skin tightening can take up to 3 months or longer sometimes.
Thank you for your question. As a general rule Vanquish Me will result in some modest skin tightening. However, if you have very soft or lax skin to begin with and you destroy fat it is possible to develop some increased laxity since the fat cells were plumping up the skin. Vanquish Me is generally not used on the buttocks but we have treated this area in a few instances with good results. The skin tightening effects of Vanquish Me can be delayed as well since it takes up to 3-6 months for the collagen stimulating process to be completed.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
As long as you are fully healed from your cesarean section, you should be able to remove excess superficial fat with Vanquish. However, the only way to determine candidacy for this effective fat-removal technique is to meet in person with a board-certified dermatologist. You need to be at a...
Thank you for your question, while it is usually uncommon to have pain after the procedure I have had patients experience "tenderness" without the lumps or bumps. The words "sore" and "tender" would be normal to hear, but "pain" and "extremely tender" may be something you want to follow up with....
Vanquish uses heat generated by invisible, radio frequency waves of energy to cause injury to fat cells in a similar manner that coolsculpting uses cold to injure fat cells. Both technologies affect 20-25% of the fat cells in the area of treatment but generally the area is much larger with the...
