Pain and extreme tenderness after first Vanquish treatment on thighs. Is this normal?

Thank you for your question, while it is usually uncommon to have pain after the procedure I have had patients experience "tenderness" without the lumps or bumps. The words "sore" and "tender" would be normal to hear, but "pain" and "extremely tender" may be something you want to follow up with. Hopefully it settles in a few days but I would make sure that during your next treatment you don't  have the same hot spots because that will only compound the issues.

Pain can be variable for patients who have had liposuction. If necessary, this pain can be treated with anti-inflammatory medications and neurontin. If it persists, I recommend following up with your Doctor. Thank you for your question. While pain following a Vanquish Me treatment is unusual, it is really just a sign that the treatment is working. It is usually due to a more focal area of fat destruction creating an area of inflammation. If the Vanquish Me treatment is combined with acoustic wave therapy from a device such as the Zimmer Z Wave, this discomfort can usually be avoided.
