The aging neck is often characterized by two distinct processes: loose skin and excess fatty tissue. The ThermiTight procedure targets the loose skin component. If there is a significant amount of excess fatty tissue also present, then a procedure called microliposculpture can be performed at the same time as the Thermi to treat this problem. Combining these procedures results in a minimally invasive, no downtime treatment that does not require general anesthesia and can give excellent results.ThermiTight can be an excellent option for natural reduction of unwanted skin laxity in the neck. However, proper assessment by a Board-Certified dermatologist with expertise in the device is crucial to get the best results.
Thermi does great for tightening and has almost no downtime. A neck lift will give you the ultimate results with platysmaplasty but will require significant downtime. Liposuciton of the jowls can help as well. I suggest seeing a neck contouring expert. Best, Dr. Emer.
As a plastic surgeon, I would say that your most dramatic outcome would be with surgery. However, I also understand that not everyone is willing to undergo surgery. As far as non-surgical options, I would recommend the new Profound radiofrequency microneedling for the lower face/neck area. It is the only device that allows for both collagen and elastin to be formed in response to the treatment. The results are not quite a replacement for surgery, but it can help reduce some of the laxity in those areas.
