ThermiTight is not a surgical procedure. It is a nonsurgical in-between procedure to tighten and lift face, neck, arms, abdomen, back, knees, etc, without surgery and there are no incisions used, nor stitches needed.  A small probe, the diameter of pencil graphite, is inserted through a needle point in the skin after local anesthetic is injected for comfort. Heat is generated via the radiofrequency probe and after the temperature is achieved for the time duration desired, the probe is removed and the needle insertion is allowed to heal in a day without stitches.The information provided in Dr. Shelton's

ThermiTight is a minimally invasive procedure to tighten the skin. The "incisions" that are made are just tiny needly entry points which allow passage of a small blunt probe underneath the skin. The size of these is of an 18 gauge needle which is approximately 1 millimeter. There is no scarring from the incisions. Hope this helps.

There are no true "incisions" for the ThermiTight. Rather, 3 small needle stab incisions are placed: under the chin, and one under each ear lobe. These heal extraordinarily well and are barely noticeable.
