Hello, Thank you for your question. Botox is not indicated for use while pregnant or breastfeeding. Take care.
You should not be doing any botox or fillers while you are pregnant. You do not want to risk anything happening to your baby. If you feel you need to speak with a doctor about this i think you should, but most likely they will advise you to wait, and also if you plan on breast feeding too you should not use botox or fillers.
otox is a medication that has not been studied in pregnant women. Therefore, since its effects ont he develping fetus had not (and very likely will not) been studied, Botox must not be used on Pregant women or in lactating women.
Botoxshould not be injected in patients that are pregnant or breast-feeding. Thereare no clinical studies that have investigated if Botox is safe during thesetime periods. For obvious reasons, the safety of the child is of utmostimportance therefore no injector should inject a patient that is pregnant orbreast-feeding.
Hi Lizeth525, congratulations on your pregnancy! A general rule of thumb is to avoid any elective cosmetic or medical procedures while pregnant.
Thank you for your question. Congratulations!! Botox however should not be administered to a patient who is pregnant or breastfeeding. It is best to wait. Regards, Dr. Matt Elias
Congratulations on your pregnancy. Unfortunately, Botox can not be used while pregnant or nursing. Better to wait.
Using Botox should not be done when pregnant. Although it has probably been used numerous times on patients who didn't know they were pregnant, we have no idea what the effects can be on the unborn child. There are no studies and will be no studies to test this because of the potential risks. Botox stops the neurotransmitter acetylcholine and its possible that this stops something in the development of the fetus. Although only microscopic amounts of Botox enter the blood stream, it is possible for it to travel to the womb, albeit, extremely unlikely. I wouldn't chance it and I never inject someone who is pregnant.
Dear Lizeth525,Congratulations on your pregnancy! Unfortunately, no Botox for you until you are done breast feeding. If you don't have a bite guard this would be a good time to have one made.Best,
Pregnancy is a contraindication to cosmetic Botox treatment. No doctor will perform the treatment if they know you are pregnant.
The answer is depends. If your bulk is due to masseteric hypertrophy, the answer is yes- this is the foundation of V shape face for the Korean trend. Now, Botox in someone who has skin laxity to begin with will displace skin - due to the loss of volume (in this case muscle). Its important to...
I recommend having your dentist inject Botox for any TMJ issues, but stay with your dermatologist for cosmetic injections.
For insurance to pay for TMJ, you have to have it by a specific type of physician, and not a dermatologist or plastic surgeon. I do not believe Medicare will pay for TMJ Botox services regardless of who does them. But be aware that physicians who bill insurances for these services bill at...
