What causes the vertical indention under the skin down the abdomen after a Tummy Tuck?

I asked this earlier but I wasn't specific enough. I wanted to know if there was a way to avoid having a line down the center of my abdomen after my TT, not a scar, but an indention under the skin going from the zyphoid process down past the belly button. I've seen pictures of women with a prominent (deep) indention, like their skin is dipped inwards after a TT. .. is that caused by the sutures of the muscle repair or is it just something that happens to some people and not others? Thanks!
