I've had breast implants for 4 months already, had two hematomas on my left side and now it's hard as a rock and looks deformed and I hate it. It looks hideous but I can't afford another surgery. Since I've paid for insurance that only covered one hematoma the other I only paid hospital and anesthesia fees but I don't think I can afford another one, how much would it be?
Answer: Approximate Cost for a Capsulectomy or Capsulotomy The #costs of #breast #augmentation and #revisions are contingent on several factors. Such as geographic location, the skill and experience of the surgeon, and operating room and anesthesia fees. Also, different breast implants may have different costs. The approximate costs can be found here on the Real Self website, Surgery.org, or PlasticSurgery.org. Moreover, your procedures should be performed by a #PlasticSurgeon who is board-certified and has a great deal of experience specializing in cosmetic #surgery. You will then greatly improve your chances of getting the result you desire, and, without the need for a revision surgery. I suggest you view before and after photos of the surgeons actual patients, and read patient reviews. Gathering all of this information will help you make a well-informed decision.

Answer: Capsulotomy, Capsulectomy - How Much Do They Cost? I am very sorry to hear about the complications you had post breast augmentation. The good news, in general, is that this type of multiple complication is very rare in aesthetic plastic surgery. On the other hand, the bad news is that it happened to you.The cost of an open capsulectomy/capsulotomy depends on the region you reside in, the cost of the anesthesiologist, operating room, and the implant you choose and whether your plastic surgeon plans to use ADM or Seri to decrease the chance of a recurrent capsular contracture. Because you had such unfortunate luck with surgery up to this time, I recommend you get a complete workup by a qualified internist to be sure the problem was caused by the surgery and not some medical condition that you may have such as some form of clotting disorder. Finally, I suggest you have a heart to heart discussion with your plastic surgeon to be sure both of you feel this surgical relationship continues to have legs. All plastic surgeons have problems of this nature. Whether it is just bad luck or not, it is hard to say. Given a second chance, most of us will step up to the plate and do the best conceivable surgery, but of course, the final decision is up to you.

Answer: Capsulectomy or capsulotomy - how much does this usually cost? I am sorry to hear about the complications you have experienced. When it comes to cost of with revisionary breast surgery, there may be many “variables” involved. The specific surgeon's credentials/experience level (or lack thereof), the specific geographic area you are looking at, the different operations available, the location of the procedure ( quality of surgery facility), type/quality of anesthesia provider, type of breast implants… are some of the potential variables involved. You will find average costs of surgery listed on this website, and on individual plastic surgeon's websites as well. You may find the attached link, dedicated to treatment of these types of complications, helpful. Best wishes.

Answer: Capsulectomy or capsulotomy Sorry to hear that you had two hematoma after breast augmentation. Hematoma can increase the risk for capsular contracture. Based on your photo and description, you would need capsulectomy and implant exchange. Your plastic surgeon would be the best person to talk to as he/she has operated you already and understands your body. Your plastic surgeon should have his/her financial policy regarding revision surgery. Please share your concern/question with your plastic surgeon.Best wishes.
