I have 265cc subpectoral. Right after my surgery, because I was swollen, my breasts seemed bigger. However now that I'm 3 weeks PO, I can fit into all of my previous bras and they really don't look much different. Is this because my breast tissue is squished and it will eventually get bigger? I'm so confused. I thought adding 265cc to already a good handful of boobs would give me pretty good size ones.

Answer: BREASTS LOOK THE SAME AFTER BAM Once the muscle relaxes you should see more projection as long as the impact profile selected by your surgeon is appropriate for your anatomy. As your breasts settle and soften, you will notice the fullness you wanted gradually presenting itself....as long as you have the right size and shape implant. It's often difficult for patients to determine what size they will ultimately feel most comfortable with and some women choose implants that aren't large enough once the swelling goes down and they get used to them. The decision regarding size should always be made by the woman having the surgery, along with input from the surgeon to prevent going too large or small for your body. I find that trying on implants with your own clothing is the best way to determine the proper size and rarely have issues with final size results being unsatisfactory for the patient. Give it a total of 8-10 weeks before you make any decisions regarding your size.
