Dear Gregarious60773,since you have active cancer disease, you are probably not a candidate for elective cosmetic procedure such as butt lift. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Are you taking any medication for the breast cancer? This makes a difference because it may need to be stopped for surgery AND you never want to stop medication that is keeping your breast CA at bay. Your situation is one that would be decided on an individual basis once your history of fully known. It is not out of the question though.
I would imagine most plastic surgeons would probably not recommend having this procedure and would be reluctant to do a procedure that could complicate your life, create medical complications or in anyway interfere with treatments. I remember doing a cancer reconstructive procedure on a patient with metastatic disease. The anesthesiologist was questioning my integrity and decision making at the time. For this individual patient going on with life as if she did not have metastatic disease was what gave her the strength to get through each day. To her she wanted breast reconstruction and would definitely have opted for that and wanted it even if her life expectancy was shortened or not. Would wanting a gluteal enhancement be different than wanting reconstructed breasts for the same patient? There’s certainly no yes or no right or wrong answer but I think many plastic surgeons will be apprehensive.I could be wrong and your best bet is to schedule a few consultations and hear firsthand what each one has to say.I recommend scheduling in person consultations if possible.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD
This is tricky. I would not promise a yes. I would have clearance by vascular surgery and hematology. Even still you are at high risk. We would have to determine if the risk of surgery is appropriate.
Thanks for your question. Weight loss, weight gain and exercise do affect BBL results. The fat transferred to your buttocks is affected in the same manner as when you normally lose weight or gain weight or exercise. Hope this helps. Please always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon....
Thank you for your question. From a professional point of view this is not an impediment to have the procedure done, however, your doctor might refer you to a specialist to make sure is under control. Respectfully, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
Dear Kieandria, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper...
Hi, thank you for sharing your question. You are a good candidate for revision BBL. You can achieve a better contour of your waist and lower back - using this fat for transfer to the buttocks for improved projection and volume. This time, make sure to be specific with the board certified plastic...
