For upper and lower abdomen how many and where are incisions made? I have a long torso and wonder how a wand could reach all the way to my upper abdomen and also how can fat sufficiently be taken out above the umbilicus if no incisions is made there. Ive had a few drs tell me they only make two incisions at pubic area and so I’m just curious how that works.

Answer: Incisions in smart Lipo of the abdomen Thank you for your question. There are numerous approaches to a Abdominal Liposuction. Some surgeons make two incisions in the pelvic region only. I believe you can get better results with addition incisions in the Peri umbilical area and one in the upper mid abdomen if necessary. These incisions allow the fat to be attacked from multiple vectors resulting in a smoother contour of you abdomen. I hope that helps answer your question. Good luck on your journey!

Answer: Abdominal incisions Hi Shaemass, Most of the time, we perform 2 abdominal incisions in the pubic area and one in the umbilicus. From there we can reach all of the abdomen. There are different-sized cannulas, so, that´s usually feasible. In special circumstances, we place an incision in the inframammary fold as well.
