I’m thinking about doing fillers in my nasolabial folds but I’m also struggling with large pores on my cheeks which show texture. Is it better for me to do just fillers or is there any lasers that can get rid of both? I would prefer to only do one treatment right now due to finances. I’ve always had large pores since I was a teen, but now with my nasolabial folds starting to show I would like to treat both simultaneously.
Answer: Morpheus8 can help reduce appearance of nasolabial folds and large pores. Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Dermal fillers and Morpheus Hi @doria97. Dermal fillers are are great option to soften the appearance of nasolabial folds. For your large pores, you can try microneedling or Morpheus 8. Morpheus8 is a non-surgical treatment for full body skin resurfacing, skin tightening, and fat reduction of stubborn areas. It uses minimally invasive fractional radiofrequency energy (RF) to penetrate the skin deeper than other microneedling devices, triggering the skin’s natural healing response to promote skin tightening and lifting. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!

Answer: Laugh Lines / Nasolabial Folds - Fillers + Sculptra, Lasers like Fraxel/Clear + Brilliant, Radiofrequency, Peels, Skin Care I recommend fillers to soften the nasolabial folds themselves and also lift around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support. In our practice we combine Sculptra with other fillers "layered" on top and lasers, skin tightening treatments such as Thermage, Fractora, and Renuvion (J Plasma), thread lifting, and peels to get the most conservative, natural look. I suggest seeing a facial sculpting expert for a formal consultation. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Considering options Fillers are the gold standard in softening the appearance of nasolabial folds. They will not however affect the pore size of your cheeks. For that you can consider microneedling or Morpheus8 which combines microneedling with RF technology. Visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.
