How to treat dynamic lines around mouth? (Photo)

Question

IS it possible to use filler to treat dynamic (not static lines)? And is it possible lip filler makes creases around the mouth even worse? I have lip filler and Invisalign and have noticed a pronounced creasing around my mouth when I talk and smile. Is there any way to treat this?

Thank you for your question and for providing photos. Dermal fillers are an effective treatment for reducing the appearance of lines around the mouth. By adding hyaluronic acid to the dermal structure, volume in this area can be replenished for a smooth, youthful-looking result. 
The results from dermal filler injections can last for up to a year or more, depending on the formula used. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified injector who can suggest the best approach for you.

​Fillers such as Restylane Silk, Belotero, or Juvederm can work well to treat lines around the mouth, but the best first option is laser resurfacing or deep peels to induce collagen production. Superficial radiofrequency devices and microneedling can help as well and are less invasive. I suggest going to an experienced cosmetic dermatologist with expertise in lasers and fillers. Muscles of every individual are slightly different, even though they’re around the same area. Your case is no different. You need to have a very small amount of fillers (HA) placed into those folds and while injecting it needs to be checked that you don’t have a lump formed while at rest.
