I've had what I think are jowls for as long as I can remember. I've attached a photo for reference. What can I do to minimize this or smooth it out completely? I don't even know where to start or what type of doctor I should be seeing. Any advice is very appreciated. I am a 29 year old female for reference.
Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Morpheus 8 Hi @teetee9144! I recommend Morpheus 8. Morpheus8 is a non-surgical treatment for full body skin resurfacing, skin tightening, and fat reduction of stubborn areas. It uses minimally invasive fractional radiofrequency energy (RF) to penetrate the skin deeper than other microneedling devices, triggering the skin’s natural healing response to promote skin tightening and lifting.

Answer: How you may benefit from RF microneedling Thank you for your question and photo. Jowl formation can be effectively treated with RF microneedling treatments. This option tightens and contours the face by using hair-thin needles to create micro-channels in the dermal tissue, stimulating a wound-healing response. Radiofrequency energy travels through the needles to boost this healing response and increase elastin and collagen production. Over the following weeks and months, the skin will repair itself to reduce the appearance of the jowls while tightening the skin. Results from RF microneedling can last for years in some patients. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can assess your concern and suggest the best treatment option for you.
