I’m scheduled for an abdominoplasty this summer and contemplating adding a breast lift with it. I underwent a primary breast augmentation in 2019 but I feel like my right breast is cone shaped and both are sagging. Im apprehensive about the scars associated with the lift. Im not sure if I’m being too picky or have unrealistic expectations. I’d love to hear your opinion. Thanks in advance!
Answer: Explant with Bellesoma Method Your breasts are sagging because the added weight of the implants exceeds the mechanical strength of your skin to hold them up. The technique I recommend is explantation and lift using The Bellesoma Method. The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained, if not injured during your previous surgery. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breasts Measurements are needed to be sure, but I don't think you need a lift. You could consider minimally invasive radiofrequency skin tightening to help tighten loose skin.

Answer: Breast lift Thank you for the question. Reshaping your breasts through a lift is reasonable, and you should discuss this with your surgeon. I wish you the best of luck. Vasileios Vasilakis, MD. Double board-certified, fellowship-trained plastic surgeon, Houston. TX.

Answer: Cone shape and sagging Dear kellibelli, determining whether you need simply a breast augmentation versus a breast lift can be somewhat complicated. It depends on a number of factors including skin laxity and current nipple position. Generally speaking, if the nipples are lower than the inframammary line the patient will most likely need a breast lift. If the nipples are at or above the inframammary line we can generally get by with just a breast augmentation depending on the size of the implant the patient wants. I often still using implant when I perform a breast lift because it provides more upper breast fullness after the lift. To be sure a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon will help determine what the patient actually needs.
