Post lip/chin filler numbness, what’s normal?

I had restylane injections in my lips and chin three days ago, the swelling and bruising is getting better but my bottom lip and very top of my chin (right under my bottom lip where I am the most bruised) is still tingly/numb feeling. Is this normal?

Yes, this can be typical. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.

Thank you for your question. The symptoms you have described are typical. I advise waiting 2 weeks before judging your results. As hyaluronic acid fillers are not permanent you can have them dissolved with hyaluronidase if unhappy with your results. Hello. Numb/tingling feeling in areas of treatment with filler is normal and more often occurs if you have had excess swelling and bruising. I usually tell patients to wait 1-2 weeks for swelling, bruising to subside and you can have a reevaluation at that point.
