This is my first time to have Restylane injected on my chin . I had it around more than 48hrs. The bruise are getting darker . But the pain is fading . What can I do ? I am applying Hirudoid forte on it . Is it normal to have bruise after injection ? Or will the situation become dangerous ?
Answer: Bruising after Restylane It would appear from the picture that this is just bruising. The fact that discomfort is easing would go along with that as well. It should resolve like any bruise no problem.Lisa Vuich, MD

Answer: Bruising following injection of Restylane into the chin Sorry you have such a large bruise following treatment with Restylane. Although unpleasant to have such a mark on your chin, be comforted to know it is temporary. See your doctor if there is significant pain or tenderness. Good luck,

Answer: Bruising after Filler Thank you for your question. Bruising following filler is common. Typically they fade within a week or so. If the bruising persists for more than two weeks call or set up an appointment with your injector. I hope this helps,

Answer: Swelling/Bruising/Lumpiness (early) from Fillers I always tell my patients to not love their filler injections for 2 weeks. Swelling is very common and sometimes immediate. It can last 3-7 days and a good idea is to use cold compresses. Cold compresses may be used immediately after treatment to reduce swelling only if needed. This may be applied for 3 minutes, 3 times per day, for up to 3 days. This is best done with a bag of peas in a zip lock bag. Only apply light pressure to the area but gentle massage might be necessary if the bump is from the filler material itself. Get Arnica gel if you can find some and apply a few times a day as well to help treat any swelling. Avoid any blood thinners. Bruising can also last 1-2 weeks. I don't recommend hyaluronidase this early and wait a few weeks until the swelling has resolved. If it is persistent or you are worried, set up a follow up appointment with your dermatologist.

Answer: Bruising after filler can be prevented It is not unusual to have some type of bruising or swelling to the injection site. This is temporary and should starting fading over the next couple days. Technique with fillers can affect how much bruising one gets. I use a blunt tip cannula for all of my fillers. The benefit of this is that in contrast to a needle, the cannula pushes blood vessels and nerves out of the way without causing trauma. Most of my patients don't experience bruising at all because of this. In the future, see if anyone in your area is using this technique because it can markedly improve your experience. It is also far less uncomfortable during the injection. If symptoms get worse please contact your provider.
