Pain & discomfort after Radiesse injection in chin. Is it normal?

It is possible that you pain that you are experiencing is due to the trauma from the injections themselves in combination with the volume of the Radiesse that was introduce in the chin area.  If this pain becomes severe or if it persists you should consult your doctor immediately.

Thank you for your question.  I'm sorry you are experiencing pain after your radiesse injection.  Radiesse is an excellent filler for the chin to increase both the projection as well as the vertical length. I think the soreness you are experiencing is likely due to the large volume of product injected in your chin (compared to 1cc of restylane) and the pressure on the mentalis muscle is causing you discomfort.   Since you don't have any bruising/ skin manifestation, it is unlikely that you have a hematoma or vascular occlusion.  The chin tends to be more sensitive after injection than the other areas on the face (e.g. Nose/ cheeks) because we move that area a lot more.  It is also safe to inject radiesse in your chin after your previous restylane injection.  Please continue to follow up with your doctor.  Best wishes.
