Can I go skydiving 7 months after Otoplasty?

Hi. I had otoplasty surgery done 7 months ago and was wondering if it would be ok to go skidiving? Will my ears pop back out from the air hitting them so fast? Will the sutures break? Thank you

Based on your history, you could have another extruding suture with possible infection. Ear cartilage infections may benefit from antibiotic therapy, so you should let your surgeon know what's happening as soon as possible.I wish you well.Dr. Joseph

As no one else was present for your surgery, it is not fair for others to speculate on what was don, or what happened. The asymmetry you see can be rectified with cartilage and soft tissue grafts. The skin is thin, but not insurmountable.Have all of your questions answered prior to any...

One week post-op is too soon to judge on the final result, you need to follow up with your surgeon regularly up to 6-12 months before thinking about revision.

Unfortunately non-surgical molding of the ear cartilages can only be done early in life before the cartilages get stiff and resilient. I am not aware of a reliable method to change cartilage folds in adults without surgery.
