Hi @islandgrams1! Regular microneedling is safe with a pacemaker. However, RF microneedling is questionable. I would recommend you get a clearance from your cardiologist. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
Yes you can do microneedling when you have a pacemaker without any problems. I suggest you see an expert. Best, Dr. Emer.
Microneedling is safe to do with a pacemaker as there are no contraindications per se.Microneedling is a controlled injury to the skin using fine needles that puncture the skin. Each puncture triggers the body to repair the micro injury by producing collagen and elastin. However, if you are considering microneedling with RF (Radio Frequency) I would definitely check with your cardiologist prior to your treatment as he/she is more familiar with your complete medical history. Also remember that not every microneedling provider is an MD or has a MD review patient medical history. You will love your results with microneedling!
Absolutely! Go for it! There is no electrical impulse with microneedling so no risk with a pacemaker. The only systems you have to be more cautious around are any systems using electrical impulses or radiofrequency. Even with these there can be some work arounds, but always inform your doctor before proceeding with any treatment.
Absolutely.... Safe, as micro needles like skin rolling, Eclipse, Dermapen just uses needles without current to treat your skin. RF micro needling, in the majority of cases are also safe, however you have to check with your cardiologist to ensure that your pacemaker is INSULATED, (most are). I have never had a patient peeling 2 weeks after microneedling. I suggest seeing an expert for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer.
Most patients in our practice see results after even one treatment or 4 weeks later. Results continue to improve after each treatment. For results to be noticeable, the procedure needs to be done aggressively. Many patients come to our office feeling discourage because they had the proc...
