Getting a facelift will not have any effect on the size of your nose. Your nose shape may seem different, but this is only due to a change in your face, not your nose. To change the size of your nose will need a rhinoplasty procedure. I sometimes complete these two procedures together and you can have a facelift and rhinoplasty performed at the same time if you wish.
It's important to know how long ago you had this surgery. It often takes about 3 months to see the "final" result with facelift procedures. Swelling from your surgery certainly can change the appearance of your mid face which could make your nose temporarily look different. Long term there should be no effect on the shape or size of your nose.
As others have noted, the procedures you describe should not have any effect on the size of your nose. Instead, what's probably happening is that your procedures and/or the initial swelling and bruising have altered your facial proportions from what you're used to. These new proportions can make it appear that your nose has gotten smaller. If you are bothered by the new proportions, give it a few months. The residual swelling in your face may continue to dissipate.
Thank you for your question. A face lift will not change the physical structures of your nose. It may appear smaller since other structures were re-positioned, but the nose itself should not be smaller.
Thanks for sharing. I agree with the overall sentiment that the nose will not get smaller from a face and or browlift but may look relatively smaller or narrower with the surrounding swelling and lifting of the tissues. I am not sure if this is a plus or minus for you but in the end your nose should be the same size.
Sometimes the bitemporal width of the face can widen somewhat after a facelift as volume is added to the cheeks. This can have the illusion of making the nose look smaller. Photos would help. Best wishes, Dr. T.
Depending how far removed you are from surgery, if you still have some facial swelling, your nose may appear smaller because your face is relatively larger in proportion to your nose. Otherwise, the surgery should have no impact on your nose. Good luck!
Hello and thank you for your question. A facelift should not have any effect on the size of your nose. I recommend that you return to your surgeon and share your concerns.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Reish, M.D.Harvard-trained plastic surgeon
Dear jb11Thank you for your question! The recovery from the surgeries can take time. There is probably residual swelling that can take a year to resolve. With Warm RegardsTrevor M Born MD
Obviously, the nose itself does not undergo direct changes after the procedures you mentioned. However, you may perceive changes due to alterations in the surrounding tissues due to a facelift.
Yes, an endoscopic facelift can be performed under local anesthesia. It's going to depend on your surgeon and your tolerance for discomfort. Kindly,Kouros Azar
Its a great question. To my knowledge, there has never been a definitive study proving that either Arnica or Bromelain improve healing time. However, Arnica has been well known for several years, as is Bromelain, an extract from pineapples, which have been used...
It is always best to be at a maintainable goal weight prior to any cosmetic procedure because yes, gaining or losing weight afterwards can adversely affect your results. Hope this helps.Kindly,Kouros Azar
