Hello, while although you should not be wearing a push up bra right after a breast augmentation. Once the implant has settled in after 6 months, its perfectly ok to wear a push up bra. It will not harm the implant or the position of the implant. In fact we advise our patients to always wear supportive bra with implants. Over time gravity can weigh the breasts down and wearing a supportive bra helps with that.

While there isn’t extensive research specifically on the long-term effects of push-up bras on breast implants, it’s generally advisable to choose supportive bras to maintain the integrity of the implants. Excessive pressure from push-up bras may theoretically contribute to implant displacement over time, so it’s essential to prioritize comfort and consult with a healthcare professional if you have concerns.

There should be no negative impact on your implants from wearing push up bras. We do recommend having a professional bra fitting so that you are getting the fit and support to give you the best comfort and support.

Push up bras are not good to wear long term with implants, and should never be worn in the first three months following surgery. The bra and the implant together apply a fair amount of pressure on your lower breast tissue and may increase thinning over time. Breast tissue that is thin will allow the implant to sag, and even possibly rupture through very thin tissue.

Support of the breasts after augmentation will limit the long term effects of gravity upon them (sag) as well as provide compression of the breasts, which may limit the development of capsular contracture. Lack of support of relatively large breasts may be responsible for a later degree of sag.
Unless the push up bra is ill-fitting, I don't see a significant downside.
