Mini lifts are not used for 66-year-old patients. At 66 you will have sagging of the jowls cheeks and neck and this can only be corrected by a full facelift. See a very experienced surgeon for this and don't be misled with lesser techniques where you would be wasting your money.
There are multiple types of facelifts with different options available depending on what the patient presents with, what results are expected and what the comfort level of the surgeon is .Its impossible to start guessing what you may need without at the very least a picture. Suffice to say that at 66, rarely is a 'mini lift' going to do the trick.
"Howdy Doody" could describe a wide range of facial aging changes. With that said a mini-lift is rarely the best option for someone 66 years of age. Typically, by 66 years there is more aging along the jawline and neckline than can be remedied with a minilift. This should not be discouraging, however, as a more complete facelift typically involves the same incisions and recovery time with only a slightly more extensive surgical procedure.I hope this information is helpful for you.Stephen Weber MD, FACSDenver Facial Plastic Surgeon
