I have seen Dr Bunin for all my eye care for years. She is a highly skilled physician. Recently I had my eyelids done. I couldn’t be happier with the results. I would highly recommend Dr. Bunin!! She is not only highly skilled , but a beautiful person inside and out.
My experience with Dr Bunin has been very rewarding. She is very professional and compassionate with her patients. The knowledge Dr Bunin has is second to none. Her surgical expertise is excellent. I can recommend her without any reservations.
There is not enough positive I can say. Dr. Bunin is a superior on every front. The quality of her work exceeded my wildest expectations and I will continue to seek her services. I believe that a few non-invasive procedures took years off my face and left me with a natural healthy look. Her skill as a surgeon is nothing short of amazing. In addition to A+++ professional work, she is the most engaging, warm, down to earth individual I have ever met. She has a natural empathy and grace that makes you feel respected and valued. I walked in feeling kind of silly for wanting to enhance my looks. She understood and validated me so that I could move forward feeling inspired and happy that I was going to work on self improvement. Anyone, old or young, wealthy or modest can go to her and feel accepted and valued. She will work with you to devise the best course of action for you. Never any pressure in any way, just the wise guidance of years of practice. Bravo Dr. Bunin! Please continue to help people.
HI! Deep wrinkles and lines between the brows (glabellar area) are caused by several things. Most commonly they are caused by repeated muscle contraction, which is why Botox, Dysport and Xeomin (neuromodulators) work to relax the muscles and allow smoothing of the area. However, loss of volume in this area can also be a cause, and if you stretch the skin in this area and any of the lines remain, then neuromodulators won't completely fix the problem. Usually a little filler will fix the remainder unless there is severe muscle sagging. This area is a bit more risky to fill so I suggest you only see a surgeon or well trained doctor to do this. In your case this should do the trick. You don't look like the problem is extra skin, so doing a skin procedure won't do as much as you hope, and filler is the better solution. Good luck to you! Dr. Lisa
Hello! It is hard to tell without examining you but you appear to have fluid collections under your eyes rather than prolapsed fat pockets, and while allergies or a very high salt diet can cause fluid to collect under your eyes, it is unusual to only be located nasally (towards the nose) and not extend more laterally (towards your ear). Have you ever had filler placed in your cheeks or tear troughs, even years ago? I have seen HA fillers move forward even years later and they have a bluish tint which we call a tyndall effect because of the light reflecting through the HA flller. If this is the case, it can be dissolved in the office with an enzyme called hyluronidase. I have had many patients come to me with this problem after being injected elsewhere, and have had good success with one or two treatments. If it is not filler and only fluid (usually due to repeated infections and allergies) then I have had some success treating over the area with the TitanTM laser to shrink and tighten the underlying tissue. This may need to be done periodically, but it is a non-surgical, non-invasive laser treatment done in the office.Meanwhile iced compresses, and a low sodium diet should be followed as well as treatment of any allergies you have to minimize additional swelling in the area.If you are in my part of the world I would be happy to see you in person and see how I could help you. Otherwise, I would suggest you see an Oculoplastic Surgeon (eyelid specialist). Good luck to you! Sincerely,Dr. Lisa
You appear to have enlargement of the chewing muscle ("masseter") causing a widening of the lower jaw. This can easily be treated with Botox or another neuromodulator like Xeomin or Dysport to reduce the muscle mass and perhaps I would also balance your face profile with some filler on the chin like Radiesse to improve your balance and profile. i would NOT recommend doing anything to remove facial fat as you are pretty and young, and will naturally lose fat as you age and then would have to be FILLING your face! I always approach patients with not only their immediate concerns in mind, but try to share my experience to see into their future and how their face will change with age. Please do not use a practitioner without tons of experience--you don't want to do something today that will cause you problems in a few years. Enjoy your beauty and be smart about this. Good luck to you! ---Dr. Lisa
Isn't it amazing how weight loss, which looks great on our bodies, can reek havoc on our face? I hear this concern from patients every day, and have the same issue on myself. The issue in the lower cheek is that there is not a firm surface (like bone) to place filler on, unlike in the upper cheek. Sculptra works well in this area but is gradual and thus, if you are continuing to lose weight and are losing more volume you may not feel it is working as well as you hoped, but it is really that you are continuing to deflate from the weight loss. Typically you would also notice more rapid loss of volume with an HA filler or other immediate filler. Other tissue stimulators like PRP may work, and diluted Hydroxyapatite can also stimulate collagen production in this area. For more immediate results HA fillers work well, but you will deflate more quickly here than in other areas. You have beautiful bone structure and are young, so I would be cautious with adding anything permanent because the rest of your face may not change along with this area, and as you gain or lose weight things will be out of balance. Seek out a facial expert physician for this area. Good luck to you! -- Dr. Lisa
Hello! It is great that you are trying to improve your skin health, texture and tone. With a history of acneic skin and a slightly Mediterranean skin tone you need to be more careful with invasive procedures because you have more reactive skin and may be prone to PIH (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation). Rather than choosing a specific procedure and trying to find a doctor, I would suggest finding a well trained doctor with whom to discuss your goals and needs, and then let them give you the best options that are safe and personalized for you. For the safest and most noninvasive ways to tighten skin, I would suggest Titan laser or Thermage. Microneedling with PRP will give some tightening, too, over time. And a stronger medical grade skin care program will give you better and longer results with any procedure. Good luck to you! ---Dr Lisa Bunin
