My left buttock has significantly dropped from an old lipo procedure to the back of thighs. It did not include the banana roll or the underbutt. I'm guessing it happened through the entry way which was located in the crease of my butt. I read that it can't be fixed.
Answer: Left Buttocks Ptosis - Can It Be Fixed? The short answer to your question is, YES it can be fixed. There is a technique that was described over twenty years ago by Dr. Ted Lockwood of Kansas City whereby the deep tissue, both below and above the infra gluteal crease is anchored upward to the periosteum (covering of the bone). This is done with three permanent sutures, and it does such a good job that you probably would want both sides done. This is a surgery that I have performed. This is a relatively uncomplicated procedure. A one-sided repair takes less than an hour, and is usually done in the operating room under general anesthesia.

Answer: Addressing Left Buttock Ptosis Post-Liposuction: Exploring Surgical Solutions Hi jenzumba, Thank you for your question regarding the ptosis (dropping) of your left buttock following a previous liposuction procedure. It's not uncommon for liposuction, especially if not uniformly performed, to lead to asymmetries or changes in contour such as what you're experiencing. While it's challenging to provide a definitive answer without seeing you in person or reviewing photographs, I can offer some general insights. In many cases, buttock ptosis can indeed be addressed surgically. The specific approach would depend on the extent of the drooping and the overall condition of your skin and tissues in the area. Options might include a targeted buttock lift, where excess skin and possibly some fat are removed to elevate the buttock to a more symmetrical position. In cases where volume loss is also a concern, fat grafting (sometimes referred to as a Brazilian Butt Lift or BBL) can be considered to restore fullness and a more youthful contour. It's crucial to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon who has experience in body contouring and revision procedures. They can assess your specific situation, discuss your goals, and recommend a tailored approach to address the asymmetry and improve the overall appearance of your buttocks. While every surgical procedure has its limitations and risks, and it's true that perfect symmetry may not always be achievable, significant improvements are often possible. Sincerely, Dr. J. Answer: Liposuction and Fat Transfer Thank you for your question. Liposuction will remove excess fat from unwanted areas creating a shape that accentuates your hips & buttocks. Fat transfer to your hips & buttocks will bring out your curves, increase volume in your buttocks and improve shape. Your expectations and health will dictate the best procedure(s) for you. I suggest a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to go over the options that best address your goals. Best of luck! Answer: Surgery for left buttock ptosis A photograph or two of the area would be extremely helpful in determining what the problem may be and thus the solution, if any. Indeed once this area is damaged, typically by liposuction, it is tricky to fully repair and re-create the normal infragluteal fold again. That being said there are certain things that can be done to improve it, sometimes that does involve more liposuction but more often involves something called a lower buttock tuck. Occasionally, it is best just alone to avoid making things worse. Your next best step is to set up a virtual consultation or an in person physical exam. Glad to help.

Answer: Left buttock ptosis Dear jenzumba, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice.
