Use of beta blocker after FUE?

Question

May beta blocker ( metoprolol ) for hypertension treatment be used ,3 weeks after FUE. Considering possible hair loss as side effect. And may local treatment with minoxidil be used to counteract the potential hair loss due to metoprolol.

Dear Komle,Thank you for posting this question. High blood pressure can kill you, so I would take its treatment seriously. There are other medications for hypertension that may have less effect on hair loss. I would consult with your primary care physician (eg: the one who prescribed you the metoprolol). A good diet and exercise will also help to lower blood pressure. After your FUE, of course you need to treat your high blood pressure because you wish to live a long time. Every drug company puts hair loss as a risk of all drugs, if true or not
