What does a hair graft look like? Am I losing grafts after an FUE hair transplant? (photo)

It is Day 21 today since my FUE hair transplant surgery. Over the last few days, I see these types of hair fall now. They seem to have a root that is bent at the bottom. I am aware there that hair shedding is expected. However, can someone tell me if these are grafts attached to the hair at the bottom? I'm concerned I'm losing my grafts.

Post op shedding is common and occurs between weeks 2-4.  The hair shaft is shed but the root is imbedded so you have not lost the graft

Shedding is a normal process after a hair transplant procedure. From your images, the hairs are NOT grafts.

At this point for you to lose a graft there should be bleeding. The photos show normal shedding of the grafts, which should of been explained to you during the post-op visit. As long as there is no bleeding, it is unlikely there has been any damage.

Hi, No this is not a graft so you should not worry. This is just a pulled hair. You should not be concerned about losing the hair. You typically should lose the hair at days 7-10. What is happening is the hair is going into a dormant stage/ hibernation phase. They then regrow at the 4-15th month mark.

Shedding post transplant is to be expected. The root would look like a bulb so it is likely just the hair shaft that is on your finger.

Shedding of the grafts at this stage, 21 days, is not unusual, in fact it is typical. I would not worry about it as your new hair will grow in a few months from the same area
