Hi all, On day 9 I decided to wash my head not only once but two times. Before the second time, I applied baby oil all over the recipient area for an hour or so before washing off to soften scabs. I washed in a circular motion with slight more pressure than usual. All looked fine to my eyes in the mirror. But I then took some photos with flash and realised there was blood on the grafts. My patient coordinator advised this is sizzling, the grafts may have moved inside the hole but not dislodged
Answer: Dislodged Grafts It is possible that a graft or two was dislodged, but not likely. Whenever there is bleeding in the grafted area, there is the possibility that a graft was dislodged. However, at 9 days post-op, it is unlikely that a graft was dislodged, and more likely this is just bleeding around the graft with no dislodgment.

Your hair will shed. You may have graft loss after surgery. Not all the grafts will take. You won't really know until you see results in 6 to 12 months.

Answer: Loss of grafts Hello. It is unlikely at day 9 to lose grafts. Any grafts lost within 72 hours are normally ‘lost grafts’. Please ensure that you are following your aftercare to a T. My patients do not have scabbing at day 9 so speak to your patient coordinator to discuss how you can reduce scabbing.

Answer: Dislodged and lost grafts İt looks all right and no problem..You may start to wash your transplant area at second day of surgery with care and massage the transplant area gently so the scabs will fall off... After two weeks of hair transplantation it is acceptable to wash hairs as normal /preoperative period of surgery. All scabs should be cleaned with pressured (not gentle) massage to transplant area after 2 weeks .Dont forget that you may wash your head with normal pressure and if you need you can use a wet towel with soap for massage the scabby area, it Works very well to remove scabs .Patient may feel free to loosen any scabs on his/her head by massaging and that will not damage the grafts after 2 weeks .

Answer: Washing at day 9 If you saw bleeding at day nine, from the pictures you are showing, I don't believe that you lost any grafts. Just be gentle with the wash for a few more days
