31 year old female. 5’4” 160 pounds. Wearing a 34J bra but dr said measurements came out to 34F. I’ve gone to two consults and got two very different responses. First dr stated I was a great candidate for BR through insurance and stated he would probably take out around 600 grams. Second dr stated my breast aren’t large or dense enough to have a reduction and suggested a lift with minimal removal. Looking for more opinions on what route would be best and how many grams would get me to a C cup.
Answer: Breast reduction candidate? How many grams would get me to a C cup Thank you very much for your question, you are a candidate for Breast Reduction. I cannot be very precise about how much tissue will be removed since it will be skin and breast tissue. What is important is that you get a natural result that is in accordance with your anatomical proportions. In order to fulfill your expectations, you require a breast reconstruction using pexy, at this moment. This is because breasts are composed of fat and glandular tissue, and it is important to determine which of the two predominates. Based on that we can define if it is necessary or not the use of prosthesis or reconstruction with pexy (lift), because we always seek that once the breast reduction is done, the projection of the upper pole of the breast is adequate enough to allow the patient to wear clothes in some moments without bra and additionally that the proportions of the upper part of the breast and the lower part of the breast are preserved with the passage of time.Sometimes if the breast is predominantly fatty, with the passing of time after surgery the breast will descend and will make the aesthetic result not so favorable. Breast reduction is sought to reduce the volume, rearrange the tissue, improve the shape and at the same time to maintain that shape over time. Here the experience of the specialist is of vital importance.

Answer: Breast reduction Dear Shadia826, breast reduction is best suited for women who wish to decrease the size of their breasts. While there are different techniques used to perform this surgery, I prefer the vertical incision (lollipop pattern) breast reduction technique instead of the anchor scar pattern, which reduces more noticeable scarring than usual. I also use a SAFE liposuction technique to reduce additional fat around the stubborn axilla area and bra line. This way, my patients are achieving beautiful results with minimal incisions which reduces downtime and delivers an overall better breast shape long term.If you are considering breast reduction surgery, you should consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options and make sure your surgeon understands your goals. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Inverted T-scar Dear Shadia, After looking at your pictures, I would like to address your question providing as much details as possible for you to make an informed decision on the tummy tuck surgery. In your case, I agree, I would recommend an inverted T-scar, hoping to eliminate aprox 550 gr. That will depend whether your breast is more predominantly fatty or glandular. The more gland, the heavier the breast. I encourage to ask further questions if the explanation above was not sufficient. Kind regards, Dr. Torres
