Wanting breast augmentation; do I need my areolas reduced? (Photos)

There really isn't a specific indication for areola reduction other than wanting them smaller. This does require a scar. It's tough to predict whose will spread and impossible to predict what will happen with pregnancy.

Based on your photos, you are excellent candidate for breast augmentation and it can be performed now prior to you having children. Implant size discussion and implant selection is one of the most important steps during your consultation with plastic surgeon. The decision-making process depends on your desires, as well as breast and soft tissue dimensions of your chest wall. I also utilize Vectra 3D planning to further help with implant selection.
Wide nipple areola pre-operatively can become more pronounced after breast implant surgery and one way to address it is to perform donut breast lift which allows to decrease the diameter of the nipple areolar complex.
I would seek an in-person evaluation by the Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon, in order to discuss your goals and concerns for the best cosmetic results.

These two surgeries are typically performed together with excellent results. Would recommend that you schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who has performed numerous restorative and aesthetic breast surgeries to discuss your options and as well as your concerns.

The technique I recommend is a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, small implants can be placed totally submuscular. The areolas can be reduced to the size you desire.

Thank you for your question and pictures. You would benefit from a periareolar breast augmentation and areola reduction, but it might not be absolutely necessary if you are OK with you current areola size.
The implant should be able to fill and lift the breast adequately. Also, based on your before and goal pictures, you might want to ask about doing some lipo un the anterior axillary fold just above your breast for better contour. Be sure to see a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon for your consultation and surgery.

From the photos submitted you should consider a lift with implants to get you closer to your wish pics. The puffiness of the areola is typically from herniated breast tissue which can be addressed during the procedure. The best place to begin is a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

A physical exam with measurements would better prepare me to answer your questions. From just your photos, I believe a periareolar mastopexy (around the nipple lift) combined with a breast augmentation (mastopexy-augmentation) would be your best option.

If you are unhappy with the size of your areola, it is likely to get larger with a breast augmentation. There is more than one technique to reduce the diameter of the pigmented skin around your nipple (called the areola). Excess skin can be taken at the base of the nipple, which is referred to as an "intra-areolar lift". This can leave a less noticeable scar. It is more common for plastic surgeons to place the scar around the outside of the areola, as this allows removal of more skin and elevation of the nipple areola complex more effectively.
