After you have eyelid surgery when do you start back putting your glucoma drops back into your eyes?

There is no reason to stop your glaucoma drops before or after eyelid surgery. We would not discontinue them whatsoever after blepharoplasty.

I agree with the other physician.  I would likely have not taken you off this med.  However, this needs to be discussed with your plastic surgeon.Best wishes

I prefer to use them throughout your post operative period, and see no reason why they would be temporarily stopped.  

It is essential that your glaucoma medication are uninterrupted! Use your eyedrops.  There is no reason that eyelid surgery should interfere with their use.  Check with your ophthalmologist for additional guidance.

Thank you for your question.  In my practice if you are on medications to control glaucoma, I recommend continuing them as well as informing your ophthalmologist that you intend to have eyelid surgery.  There are rare cases in the literature that have shown glaucoma can be worsened after blepharoplasty.  

You should not stop your glaucoma drops after the surgery. It is important to keep your glaucoma under control. You can start your drops right away.
