I had a fat transfer to my tear troughs 9 days ago. As of 2 days ago, I developed a hardened area just below where I would've expected the fat to have been placed. Under one eye, the bump is a hardened ridge following the contour of the trough (though just below it). It's visible and I'm freaking out. Doctor said to give it time, it's just swelling. I'm worried. This procedure was ancillary to another and I don't even mind if I reverse the graft completely rather than have bumps. What can I do?

Hi. I prefer HA fillers for this area, rather than a fat graft. They allow more precision in shaping, and can be reversed more easily if you have a lump or a result you don't care for.All the best,
The good/bad news is that this area is under a great deal of motion, and therefore, the persisitence of the fat grafts here is less certain. After seeing your doctor for follow up, see if he/she agrees with pressure massage. That should help expedite the resolution of the issue.
