Can I achieve proper breast shape with breast lift surgery without using implants? (photo)

Hi there, based on your photos you are an good canidate for a breast lift. You have enough of your own breast tissue to maintain a nice shape and cup size by rearranging your own breast tissue with the breast lift. Best of luck!

A lift can significantly move the breast upward to give them more upper pole fullness with their own tissue. Sometimes, if there's not much firmness or density to the breast and it is mostly just skin, an implant is a good option. It really depends on your examination.

I would recommend that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area that is a member of both ASPS & ASAPS and performs a lot of short scar breast lifts as well as breast implant surgery. Good luck with your future surgery!

It would be possible depending on what you envision. If you provide photos that illustrate the breast shape you’d like to achieve, your surgeon would be able to let you know if it would be possible without implants. Generally speaking, implants are only necessary if you’d like to be larger or have significantly rounder breasts for a more “bolted on” look.

Meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon would be your best option, to discuss your goals and do a good examination of your breasts.
The photos show that much of your breast tissue sits below the fold where the breast meets the chest wall. This tissue can be re-purposed to a more central location during a lift (the "auto-augmentation" you mention), and the excess skin can be removed. This produces an improvement in central breast fullness, vertical nipple movement, and a tighter skin envelope.

The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained.

You don’t need implants just a lift and slight reduction. Adding implants would give you upper fullness. Do the first then decide later if implants are needed. I don’t think they are

my preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

I think it's totally reasonable to undergo a breast lift without implants. You appear to have plenty of breast tissue to fill out lifted breasts. We perform this procedure all the time without implants. The breasts are full lifted through an incision around the areola and straight down like a lollipop. Most of the time we add a short incision under the breast but not along the entire length of the fold. We save as much breast tissue as possible and reposition it (autoaugmentation) behind the new nipple position. There is no need for general anesthesia since this procedure is performed very comfortably in the office with oral sedation and thorough numbing.
