How long before seeing results? I've had Xeomin injections twice now and I only see a slight improvement at this time.

Thank you for your question.  You can start to see results from Xeomin, Dysport and Botox 2-10 days after injection.  Our office has you follow up in 2 weeks to see the final result and tweak the treatment if needed!

Xeomin
(incobotulinumtoxinA, also called botulinum toxin type A), is made from the
bacteria that causes botulism. Botulinum toxin blocks nerve activity in the
muscles, causing a temporary reduction in muscle activity. It should effect the
area 3 to 6 days after injection. But if the wrinkles are very deep you should
only see that it dispel just a little bit.

I suggest you go to a reputable office to get treatment . In my practice we do it based on dose, after 2-4 weeks if more is needed we add more.  However, exercise and facial movements can have effect on how long a product lasts despite dose so if more is needed there is charge.  It doesnt always last 3 or 4 months it sometimes starts to dials down 1-2 months and then more dose is needed.  Or you must switch to an alternative product to see if that one works better for you. I suggest waiting up to two weeks post-injection, although results are noted sooner. An increase in units may be needed, so I recommend returning to your injector to have them review and see if you need a touch-up. Often a patient may respond to a specific neuromodulator (botulinum toxin) brand better than another. This will need to be assessed by the injector, who may decide to switch to another neuromodulator brand.

      I would recommend seeing a different injector and switching products. There could be a multitude of things going on (incorrect injection technique, under dosing, product resistance..etc) , but you should be seeing some improvement by now. Good luck.

Everyone has unique expressions. We move our facial muscles in a repetitive way and over time those repetitive movements cause wrinkles and fine lines. When you start to experience the signs of aging, Xeomin are available to diminish unwanted wrinkles and creases in your face. Xeomin lock the release of a chemical called acetylcholine, which triggers the muscle contractions that create wrinkles. Xeomin essentially paralyze the muscles and stops them from contracting. Results from these treatments are visible within 3-7 days with results that can last anywhere from 3-4 months. Follow up with your injector in 2 weeks to discuss any questions or concerns that you may have. Hope this helps.

It can take up to 10-14 days to see results and we do a follow-up 2 weeks later and add any additional injections then that may be needed. Xeomin is our go to toxin at our office! Good luck and follow-up with your injector for any further questions.

Hi and thank you for your question. It can take the product 10 to 14 days before it will be at its best potential. Xeomin however, is a much softer product, so it will be normal to still experience a moderate degree of movement.

We have had fabulous results with Xeomin in our office. In fact, we now do more Xeomin injections than Botox. We have had patients see results as early as 36 hours after treatment, but 7-10 days is most common. Although I start my patients off slowly to preserve a more natural look, they see results after one treatment. 
I recommend getting treatments at an office similar to mine where a physician-injector administers your injections. Our anatomical knowledge is a huge benefit to maximizing your results. I have my patients come back 10 days after their injection to see if any touch up is needed.

Xeomin works similarly to Botox.  Depending on the units and technique you should have relaxation of the muscles within 7 days.  If it did not meet your expectations you should see your injector to determine if additional units are needed or a different product.  Good luck!
