Xeomin an option if I have a reaction after Botox?

Xeomin could be an option, but there is always a risk. None of these procedures are risk free and if you have had a reaction to Botox you may have one to Xeomin as well. 

As stated below the posters below Xeomin does not have any cross-reaction with Botox (Onabotulinum toxin).  Xeomin (Incobotulinum) does not have the associate complex proteins which people can develop allergies to or antibodies against.  I don't see any reason why you could not undergo Xeomin instead of Botox.  All the best.

Theoretically, there is less chance of an allergic reaction to Xeomin because it is a much smaller protein carrier molecule. Before having any facial injections it would be best to have a skin test performed to clear you for any allergies to Botox, Xeomin, vs Dysport. Hope this helps. 

if you really like to continue treatment of your wrinkles, you can ask your experienced doctor to perform a patch test using Xeomin on your forearm as intradermal injection of small amount of Xeomin to see if you develop any allergic reaction. Best,

Thank you for your question. Xeomin and Botox are neuromodulators that are a form of Botulinum Toxin. The main difference is Xeomin does not have a preservative protein. You can definitely try Xeomin but please make sure you get a formal evaluation from a board-certified dermatologist. 

Hi there! Xeomin and Botox are very similar products, the main difference being that some of the extra, unnecessary proteins have been refined out of Xeomin. It is possible that you were having a reaction to a protein in the Botox that isn't in the Xeomin. I hope that helps! 

Thank you for your question. Xeomin is a great alternative to Botox. In particular, Xeomin does not contain any additives or complex proteins. For more information, I recommend getting a in person consultation from a board-certified dermatologist. 

They are virtually the same although Botox does have some extra protein. Allergic reactions are very rare and anaphylactic reactions have never been reported.  You may have reacted to something used while being injected rather than the toxin iteself

Are you allergic to eggs?  If so, you are likely reacting to a protein that is in Botox and not in Xeomin.  Then you should be able to have Xeomin treatments.  Otherwise, your problem is a reaction to the toxin, which would mean that you would have a similar reaction to Xeomin.

Unfortunately both Xeomin and Botox are identical,  Xeomin has less impurities. Both  are made from botulinum toxin. So if Botox was the cause of your reaction there is a good chance you can have the same reaction from Xeomin injection.
