Thank you for your question.Local anesthesia can cause specific symptoms if the dose is above that recommended per Kg of body weight. I have never seen or read about chills being a side effect of vein treatments such as endovenous ablation, tumescent anesthesia or local anesthesia or sclerotherapy.Contact the treating physician.Dr. Karamanoukian
Your question is a little vague. There are many kinds of varicose vein treatment such as closure procedures, microphlebectomies and sclerotherapy. Headaches can occur for many reasons including anxiety and may not be related to the treatment at all. Chills are uncommon following vein treatment and could be related to the tumescent solution especially if cold. They also may be unrelated to the treatment. Follow up with your treating physician.
Some minor swelling over the treated veins is normal post sclerotherapy but if you have significant swelling in the ankles, please see your physician as this may indicate an excessive reaction or underlining blood clot. Properly measured graduated compression stockings should help.
Most likely the indentations will not disappear following forehead vein removal but at least you will eliminate the veins. You have 2 choices---leave the veins alone with the indentations or treat the veins and see if the indentations resolve.
Some people have more prominent chest veins. Consider consultation with a dermatologist for evaluation.
