How can I get rid of green leg veins?

I have very visible green veins in my legs that started showing up over the last couple of years. My skin is completely smooth and I cannot feel the veins, but I'm uncomfortable showing off my legs even though they are in great shape because the very visible green veins are unattractive.

This is best treated by a cosmetic dermatologist with experience in treating leg veins.  Sometimes lasers are effective but likely you need injection medications.  If they are very large, then laser or surgical removal is needed.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Larger veins seen in the legs are often reticular veins.  Often, there is a problem with the veins in the groin that results in the larger leg veins. Before treatment, a venous ultrasound is recommended to evaluate the veins as treatment of the underlying cause is essential.

Green veins are usually reticular veins.  These can best be treated by sclerotherapy.  However, depending on the amount of veins present, you may require a venous ultrasound to see if there is an underlying cause of the veins.  See a vein specialist.
