Grade 1 gyno - is gyno surgery without scars possible? (Photos)

Question

Hi I was told I have grade 1 gyno but I keep looking up post operative results and they all seem to have visible scars . I have a hairless chest so I was wondering if I c find a surgeon that can do something better than the traditional areolar(semilunar) scar ! ??

Though the conventional teaching has been that liposuction cannot remove breast tissue, I have found that I can remove the breast tissue with liposuction alone. This allows for small segmental reduction of the breast to produce the best contour possible and avoid over resection, cratering, and contour deformities. This also provides for much less scarring and potential poor scarring concerns.

There is an alternative to using an open peri-areolar approach for the correction of gynecomastia. I have been using the Lateral Pull Through technique for at least 15 years. It includes liposuction, ultrasonic liposuction AND excision of the breast gland tissue all through a half inch incision on the side of the chest.

I understand your concern, incision site depends on each Surgeon's preference.
 In our hospital we do incision on 1/4th of the circumference of areola and for liposuction at the junction of chest and axilla.  We have found that both these places scars are less visible.

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Any surgery will leave scar but with a good technique scars should be minimal. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

With the "pull through" technique I use there is never a scar around the areola. Doing a scar around the nipple is VERY outdated. You can read more on my website but long story short I first address all the extra fat under the skin with power assisted liposuction. Then, the small "breast bud" under the nipple is carefully removed via custom made instruments through a 0.5cm incision hidden away from the nipple. When this heals it looks like an old acne scar or a mole. VERY inconspicuous. Anyway, before you book surgery with somebody make sure they offer this comprehensive treatment.
