Hi I was told I have grade 1 gyno but I keep looking up post operative results and they all seem to have visible scars . I have a hairless chest so I was wondering if I c find a surgeon that can do something better than the traditional areolar(semilunar) scar ! ??

Answer: Gynecomastia surgery Dear Bob_lee_swager, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Any surgery will leave scar but with a good technique scars should be minimal. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: "Scarless" Gynecomastia Surgery With the "pull through" technique I use there is never a scar around the areola. Doing a scar around the nipple is VERY outdated. You can read more on my website but long story short I first address all the extra fat under the skin with power assisted liposuction. Then, the small "breast bud" under the nipple is carefully removed via custom made instruments through a 0.5cm incision hidden away from the nipple. When this heals it looks like an old acne scar or a mole. VERY inconspicuous. Anyway, before you book surgery with somebody make sure they offer this comprehensive treatment.
