Is there an appreciable difference between Ultherapy's new third generation and second generation machines? Does the newest one tighten better than the second generation one? Thank you.
Answer: Updated Ultherapy technology: it's the transducers not the machine The Ultherapy devices uses handpieces called ultrasound transducers that deliver the treatment. Each one has a focal depth, with the newest one being the shallowest at 1.5 millimeters. In some areas it is possible to treat all 3 depths for an enhanced effect. So it is not the generation of the machine, but the availability of all 3 transducers that is the most up to date.

Answer: Ultherapy machines: Third vs second generation for efficacy. Any suggestions? The changes in Ultherapy have been software based and dictate where, how and how much energy is delivered. If you're treated by a skilled physician using the latest Ultherapy updates you should be in very good hands. I hope this information is helpful for you.Stephen Weber MD, FACSDenver Facial Plastic Surgeon

Answer: 2nd generation Ultherapy devices Thank you for your question.Second generation devices were reprogramming of the screen and also to deliver the same energy with less pain and discomfort to the patient. This has been a dramatic improvement. As well, the handpiece changed so it is more ergonomic for the physician.Read the Ultherapy ebok on the link below.Dr Karamanoukian

Answer: New ultherapy technology Hi, Thank you for your question. The ultherapy technology is the sane. We are still using ultrasound to stimulate new collagen formation which lifts and tightens the tissue. There have been several software updates which allow us to refine our results and target certain areas achieving better results. Good Luck. Beverly Friedlander, MD (DR Bev)
