What's this groove in my columella & would open rhinoplasty make it more obvious? (Photos)

apologies if i use the wrong terms i have no clue how to call this lol. i have this little groove between my nostrils which i never really notice on others. i am planning to get an open rhinoplasty, would it make the scar more obvious? is it something that can be fixed?

Thank you for your question.  The cleft in your columella is your natural native anatomy of the medial crus cartilage.  This can easily be removed by placing a small onlay columellar graft.  I do this on a regular basis.  Best wishes to.

Yes, it looks here like you have a little definition between your medial crura. Straightforward to fix in a rhinoplasty either by reshaping the medial crura or adding a little graft to camouflage the area, depending on what else needs to be done.

You have a cleft between the cartilage of the tip. When I see that I tell patients not to even mess with it. You risk making it look worse

What you're seeing is a cleft between the left nasal tip Cartilage and the right nasal tip cartilage, and this is normal. Do not perform a rhinoplasty just for this. A closed rhinoplasty approach makes all the incisions on the inside of the nose to shave down the dorsal hump and refine the nasal tip. An open rhinoplasty procedure makes incision across the columella.
