Its always good to bust your hemoglobin levels by taking iron , folic acid , vitamin C and vitamin B12 before surgery . All these better your blood count. Avoid vitamin E and herbal extracts before surgery, to prevent unnecessary bleeding in surgery . best wishes

Excellent Question!!!Nutrition is everything. Yes take double or triple the recommended daily allowance. Remember the daily allowance is the bear minimum to prevent disease most of the time.
