I'm scheduled for a BBL in August 2019 and I'm in the process of losing some more weight to get my BMI down to 32. I've had peripheral vascular issues in the past, but it seems to only affect me when I gained weight. I've had a child with no issues and no swelling in my ankles. I haven't had any major swelling in my ankles for more than 3 years, but there's still always this fear when I think of surgery. I occasionally take a low dose Aspirin (paranoia) but I don't think it's actually needed anymore.
