When does the buttock start to get softer and feel more natural after BBL?

Question

I’m 2 weeks post op BBL and my buttock is still pretty hard. Just curious to know how long it takes to soften up. Don’t see my surgeon again until my one month follow up.

Swelling can provide for a hardened appearance after BBL.  There will be a great deal of softening within the first two to six weeks. This can continue for several months based upon the amount injected and the technical aspects of surgery.

Brazilian Butt Lift recovery time is dependent on how the patient’s body reacts to the procedure. Patients usually return to work after a week but you should not sit without the use of cushions for at least two weeks and you must wear a compression garment for several weeks after the procedure. You should wait until at least 2 weeks after the procedure to engage in sexual activity. Swelling and discomfort normally fades at six weeks. After about a month you will be mostly healed and you can get a nice idea of the permanent results after around six months.

Dear alyssamae527,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a BBL surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. You are still early on the healing process, it can take up to six months to see your final results, so please be patient. At the stage you are in, inflammation and discomfort are very normal.

You are still in the early stage of healing so you are still swollen, it takes around 6 months or more to see final results. I suggest that you keep using your garment and lymphatic drainage post surgery massages on the area will help you. Be patient and consult with your surgeon any doubts!! Good Luck
