Is it OK to have a nose job while on Accutane?

I have only took 7 days of Accutane tablets which are 20g, I am Now having a nose job in 6 weeks time. What are the effects of taking Accutane when having a nose job? I don’t want to wait to take my acne treatment. Does this affect my course if I stop and start few months after

Thank you for your question and photo. You are a great Candidate for Rhinoplasty, surgical instruments known as rasps and osteotomies (hammer and chisel) are used to reshape the nasal bones by removing the hump and/or narrowing the nasal bone width. These tools are relatively imprecise and their use can lead to contour irregularities, etc. if not used in the proper manner. Recently, a technology that uses sound waves has been developed to contour nasal bones in a precise and far less traumatic way when compared to traditional techniques. Ultrasonic, or Piezo, Rhinoplasty is now the most advanced technology available for minimally traumatic nasal bone reshaping and hump removal during Rhinoplasty. There will be hardly any bruising and swelling which will make the recovery period a lot easier for the patient.

While accutaine can be very beneficial to control acne, high doses have been found to cause cartilage graft resorption in some patients. Speak with your surgeon about your procedure specifics and make a plan together from there.

Hello dear patient,These type medicines affects your blood results. But only 7 days is not enough time for this. Maybe you can quit to use that medicines for 1 week but you don't need to stop using them for long time. Best regards
