I have always disliked my weak chin and undefined jawline and am looking into fillers to add some projection and definition. What kind works best for this and what would likely be the longest lasting? I am not interested in doing an implant at this time.
Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Treatment for a recessed chin? Without an exam your question cannot be answered. You will need to see an Oral/Maxillofacial surgeon to see if othognathic surgery, genioplasty or using an implant is best for your specific case. It should be noted that patients with severely weak jaws or abnormally functioning jaws may be better treated with other facial surgery (orthognathic surgery), although a chin augmentation may be an option at a later time. These patients should seek the advice of a plastic surgeon to determine which course is right for them. Here is some information to help you make this decision: Candidates for Chin Augmentation - Patients whose chin profiles are weak but have normally functioning jaws are candidates for Chin Augmentation. Many of these candidates have used injectable fillers in the past to strengthen the protrusion of their chins, but are looking for a permanent solution. If you are one of these patients, then you are a likely candidate for chin augmentation #weakchin #chinimplant

Answer: Juvederm Voluma is a Great Dermal Filler for the Chin Hi AJB12313, Thank you for submitting your question! In my San Francisco practice, I like to use Juvéderm Voluma for the chin. It has a spongy consistency like tofu or marshmallows and is great for adding projection to the chin. Juvéderm Voluma is one of the longest lasting hyaluronic acid dermal fillers and can last for up to 24 months. Juvéderm Voluma is also reversible, giving you more control of your results! Good luck and stay beautiful!

Answer: Chin augmentation Hi and thanks for your question. Any filler with more density and high viscosity would be good for chin augmentation. I personally use Juvederm Voluma , Teosyal deep or Restylane deep.
